| Building Rare &
Neglected Aircraft
by
Fotios Rouch |
| I have been building models on and off since I
was a little kid in the 70's. Back then I built mostly 1:72 scale kits. After
college and after I had a home and a hobby area again I started enjoying my hobby once
more. It was in the mid to late nineties when I decided to build some 50's jets but
nobody was producing plastic injected kits of such subjects. I located a company
(Collect-Aire) that produces in resin almost all of the aircraft I ever wanted to build.
Having had some experience with resin kits already I dove in these subjects and by
now I have a pretty much every resin kit they ever made. One of the missions of this
webpage is to share my opinions and build reviews of these kits with those that might have
an interest in these rare and interesting subjects. I will include in box reviews as
well as detailed build-ups and pictures of the completed subjects. Since the kits
are a bit on the expensive side I hope that I will also provide some type of help to
those that might like to take a look at the subjects before ordering them. I will
also include in this website buildups of other resin conversions and resin kits from
different companies. Every once in a while I might build a standard injected kit as a
diversion! I might even include here some of my 72nd scale kits from the
"old" days. |
